The Journal of Community Medicine and Health Sciences (JCMHS) invites researchers, clinicians, academicians, and policymakers to submit high-quality manuscripts for publication in upcoming issues. Manuscript Submission Guidelines
Authors are encouraged to review the complete Author Guidelines before submission. Manuscripts should be prepared in clear, concise English using the journal’s formatting standards. Submissions must include:
- Title Page with author information and affiliations
- Structured Abstract (250 words max)
- Keywords (4–6)
- Main Text divided into Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion
- References formatted according to NLM style
- Figures and Tables with clear captions
- Ethical approval and conflict-of-interest statement
- Funding acknowledgment (if applicable)
All submissions are accepted through the journal’s Online Submission System available on the Submission Guidelines page. Authors may track the progress of their manuscript in real time using the OJS dashboard.
Peer-Review Process
Every manuscript undergoes a double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts. Reviewers assess originality, methodology, ethical standards, and relevance. The editorial board ensures fairness, confidentiality, and transparency at all stages of review. Revisions are communicated through the OJS portal to facilitate a seamless author–reviewer interaction.
Publication Frequency
JCMHS publishes four issues per year (Quarterly) and may feature special issues on priority themes such as pandemic preparedness, health equity, digital public health, and community resilience. Accepted manuscripts are published online immediately after final proof approval (Continuous Publication Model).
Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
Authors must comply with international research-ethics principles and declare that their work:
- Is original and not under review elsewhere.
- Has received appropriate ethical committee approval for human or animal studies.
- Includes informed consent where applicable.
- Accurately represents data without fabrication or manipulation.
- Properly acknowledges funding sources and collaborators.
Manuscripts that violate these ethical standards will be rejected or retracted in accordance with the journal’s Publication Ethics Policy.
Article Processing Charges (APC)
To sustain open-access operations and ensure high-quality publishing infrastructure, JCMHS applies Article Processing Charges (APCs). Charges vary by article type and disciplinary category. Detailed information is available on the APC page. Fee waivers or discounts are available for authors from low-income countries as per the Waiver Policy.
